FRANCIS J. ROTHBAUER

ROTHBAUER, Francis J. (Frank), 83, of N. Lisbon St., Carrollton, died Thursday morning, February 17, 2011, in Mercy Medical Center at Canton.

He was born November 19, 1927 in Youngstown a son of the late Francis and Theresa Kampert Rothbauer.

Frank was an Army Veteran serving from 1946 through 1948. He later became a Catholic priest after studying at St. John Vieanna in Bloomingdale. He retired from St. Joseph Parish in Amsterdam in 1991.

Frank was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Albert, and William Rothbauer; and one sister, Loretta Rothbauer.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday February 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amsterdam, with Bishop R. Daniel Conlon officiating.

Burial will be in the Harlem Springs Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. in the Sweeney- Dodds Funeral Home in Amsterdam where Christian wake services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
